With the warmer weather, many are looking to hit the trails for a workout! We have listed a few resources to help you locate wonderful trails right here in Kansas.

Suggested items to have in your backpack for a day hike include:
Food and Water:
Protein (jerky, tuna and/or chicken pouches, protein bar)
Walnuts, almonds and other nuts
Fruit packed trail mixes
Your daily vitamins
Water, water and more water
Electrolytes (Propel, Sugar free Gatorade)
Weather appropriate clothing (moisture wicking and layers)
Hiking boots or other appropriate shoes
First-aid kit, to include sunscreen
Navigation tool such as a map or compass
Hiking sticks – especially if doing a lot of hills or slippery areas to help maintain balance
