In addition to great medical management, our center provides Certified Diabetes Educators to help each patient gain the knowledge and skill needed to self-manage diabetes. They are dedicated to assisting people in learning to manage their diabetes and ultimately live an improved quality of life. The dietitians, on our team, are available to offer nutrition therapy for a variety of diabetes & nutrition-related complications. The educators offer insulin pump therapy, diagnostic continuous glucose monitoring, group & individual diabetes self-management education and support groups. We would like you to think of us as a resource to gain the knowledge and skills needed to manage your diabetes for a lifetime.
For the convenience of our patients with gestational diabetes, we are at St. Francis Health Women’s Center every Tuesday to provide care from conception through delivery. Each woman with gestational diabetes is followed by a specialized provider & dietitian working together as a team.
