She also provides school and sports physicals. Dr. Aftab received her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed her internal medicine residency at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Dr. Aftab takes special interest in obesity medicine, women’s health and preventative care.  When asked about her work, Dr. Aftab says, “Talking to my patients, reassuring them and answering their concerns is the best part of my job. “ A native of Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Aftab has a husband and a very energetic toddler. A self-proclaimed avid black coffee drinker, Dr. Aftab enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and friends. She also is passionate about giving back to her community. She volunteers at clinics and actively participates in community health events.
